Asal’s induction cooktop is a wise option to have in our kitchens because it not only ensures a more precise and even heat, but it can also save you money in the long run for using less energy. In order to get the most out of this appliance, here are some tips and tricks  to avoid any kind of damage to the appliance:

DO’s:

 Wipe up spills quickly:

Induction cooktops are usually made up of ceramic or glass which makes it prone to scratch and abrasion. If anything is spilled on the induction cooktop, be sure to wipe it up once it cools down. The spills can be hard to remove if they are left to dry on the cooktop. Also  the control panel on the cooktop must be wiped up after cooking because they may not respond properly in case there is any grease or grime left from the cooking on them.

Use the right cookware for Induction:

Since induction cooktops work very differently by using a magnetic field under the surface to transfer heat directly to the cookware. This means you need to have a special induction cookware with a magnetic element base. Also the size of the cookware must be kept in mind while using it on an induction cooktop. If the cookware is too small, it won’t respond and if it is too big it won’t be efficient enough.

Also placing too heavy cookware over the top can damage the surface of the cooktop.

Clean the fan at the back of the Induction Heater:

After a certain period of time dirt begins to pile up around the frame and the fan blades of the induction cooktops at the back.It is advisable to wipe that dirt up with an old toothbrush or dust off the entire fan area. After cleaning with the brush, use a moist cloth to wipe the entire back of the induction cooker. Then let it dry before using.

DON’TS:

Do not use the harsh cleaners on cooktop:

Certain products can damage and scratch the surface of the cooktop.Use a microfiber cloth to keep your cooktop as good as the new one.The best way to keep your induction cookers in good condition is to clean them immediately after you use them

Do not be alarmed if your induction cooktop is noisy:

If you notice a humming sound while cooking on an induction cooktop, consider that normal or do not worry about it. It can get louder at higher settings. If you hear a pulse like beeps that could be an indication that you’re not using the right cookware or it is not properly placed.

Do not spill water over the induction heater:

Water can destroy the cooker and also put you in danger too.Use a damp paper towel or damp cleaning pad to rub the spills or grime on the surface until it’s clean. Use a soft dry cloth/paper towel to wipe off the moisture. It is a good idea to clean after every use by giving the top of the induction cooktop a rapid wipe when it is not dirty. This will ensure one does not have to do extensive cleaning after dirt piles up.

While each cooktop has its unique qualities, it’s important to add a product to your kitchen appliances that you can be confident using every day. Lately Asal’s induction cooktops have gained traction because of their energy efficient cooking method.
